Hi, I'm Astrid

My Story

Hi, I’m Astrid Mora! I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, I'm currently a Student Assistance Counselor in Denton ISD and am thrilled to be a part of the WellNest team. I am passionate about helping others and hope to incorporate the knowledge I have acquired into this practice. Having worked in various capacities, including as a school counselor, teacher, and a key contributor to a district family program, I wholeheartedly believe in bringing wellness into each and every nest. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the diverse needs within both educational and family systems.

I believe in the power of connection and consider it a privilege to serve as a bridge between families, schools, and the surrounding community. My work is centered on fostering supportive environments where individuals can grow and heal.

I am particularly passionate about working with children, adolescents, couples, educators, and adults. I specialize in assisting clients in navigating a variety of challenges such as grief, burnout, self-esteem, and healthy communication. My approach is holistic, combining empathy, understanding, and practical strategies that empower my clients to heal, thrive, and build stronger relationships—with themselves, partners, and others.

I am grief treatment certified, and Gottman Couples Counseling trained.

It’s truly rewarding to walk alongside clients on their journey toward healing, and I am committed to supporting you through whatever challenges you may be facing.
