Get to know me!

Choosing to begin counseling takes courage, and I want to start by saying how much I admire that step. My passion for helping others began long before I entered the counseling field. Growing up in a military and law enforcement family and serving as a foster sibling deeply shaped the person and therapist I am today. Those experiences opened my eyes to the many ways people cope with change, loss, and uncertainty—and they taught me the importance of empathy, understanding, and belonging. I carry those lessons into my work each day, creating spaces where children, adults, and families can feel safe, supported, and truly seen.

the University of North Texas. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-

Associate) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), working under the supervision of an

experienced LPC-S as I continue to grow in my professional journey.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science from Louisiana Tech University and went on to complete my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas. As a therapist, I take a trauma-informed, relational, and strength-based approach. That means I believe you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as we uncover strengths, build skills, and work toward healing together. I often partner closely with parents and caregivers, supporting families as they deepen understanding and connection at home. My work is grounded in compassion and curiosity, and I use interventions that meet clients right where they are—whether that’s through play, creative expression, conversation, or quiet reflection.

I draw from a variety of approaches, including play therapy, systemic family work, and creative modalities, tailoring each session to fit your or your child’s unique needs. For children, therapy might include play, storytelling, or art as ways to explore emotions and experiences. For adults, sessions may focus on processing stress, trauma, or life transitions in a way that builds self-awareness and resilience. No matter the age or background, my goal is to create a collaborative space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow.

My experience includes working with children, parents, families, and adults navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, attachment challenges, and life transitions. I also have specialized training in equine-assisted counseling, play therapy, and parent education. My background allows me to serve military service members, veterans, and their families with a deep understanding of the unique stressors and strengths that come with military life.

Outside of the therapy room, I find joy and balance in spending time with my loved ones and my dog, Rue. I enjoy crafting, staying active, and being outdoors—whether it’s hiking, exploring new places, or simply soaking in some sunshine. These activities help me recharge and remind me of the importance of creativity and play in all stages of life.

If you’re looking for a space that feels calm, supportive, and collaborative, I’d be honored to walk alongside you or your family on your journey toward growth and healing. You don’t have to go through hard things alone—together, we can find a path forward.
