I’m Carly Rowan, a licensed professional counselor with a passion for helping children, teens, and families navigate life’s challenges. With specialized experience in autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and relational issues, I believe that every individual—regardless of age or background—deserves a safe space to grow, heal, and thrive.

I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision at Liberty University and earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from LeTourneau University. My undergraduate degree in Psychology is from Tabor College. In recognition of my contributions to the field, I will be featured in the upcoming publication of Marquis Who’s Who in America, and I am a proud member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).

My Approach

I focus on working with children, adolescents, and families, providing support for:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (Certified Autism Specialist)

  • ADHD (Certified ADHD Professional)

  • Depression & Anxiety

  • Suicidal Ideation

  • Trauma & Abuse Recovery

  • Social Skills & Relationship Building

Beyond individual therapy, I have led group programs focused on social skills, values, and relationship-building strategies, as well as educational groups for parents of children recently diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

Meet Packer, Our Therapy Dog

Therapy doesn’t always happen in a chair—it sometimes involves a wagging tail and a wet nose! I incorporate animal-assisted therapy with my trained therapy dog, Packer, who brings warmth, comfort, and joy to the therapy space. Research shows that therapy animals can:

  • Provide emotional support and a sense of security

  • Promote relaxation, reducing blood pressure and increasing feel-good chemicals in the brain

  • Help clients develop frustration tolerance and anger management skills

  • Improve focus and attention

  • Encourage empathy, patience, and responsibility

  • Offer humor, playfulness, and a sense of connection

For many clients, Packer makes therapy feel more welcoming and approachable.

Let’s Work Together

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I’m here to help. Together, we’ll build the tools and strategies needed to bring wellness, balance, and peace to your nest.
